I am currently looking for a contract position as a senior mechanical product design and development project engineer or project support engineer.
EXPERENCE
I am an experienced senior mechanical product design and development project engineer, with the ability to lead teams, work on own initiative or as part of a team. I am an experienced team leader with proven background of running a team of 12 people on projects from conception through to completion. I specialise in design & development as well as project management, with experience in Defence,
Telecommunications, Electronic systems, Healthcare products and Product processing plant.
I have over 20 years experience in mechanical design taking projects through concept to
prototype to verification and then into production.
I have experience in the following:-
- Product design and development using Pro Wildfire & Windchill, Autodesk Inventor & Solid Edge & .
- Producing 3D solid models and Assembly's, 3D/2D design layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings and parts lists.
- Project Management (Prince 2).
- Mechanical thermal cooling solutions.
- Mechanical EMC solutions.
- Mechanical ESD solutions.
- Detailed tolerance analysis.
- Root cause analysis. Using an analytical approach to resolve design and manufacturing problems.
- Support new product during initial production.
- Support of existing products, value add and sustaining.
