At it's best Oct 2010
I'm very pleased with my aquarium and how it looks. I've made mistakes and I'm sure I've done things I shouldn't have done but I'm enjoying the hobby and my aquarium looks clean and healthy. I've learnt lots in the short time I've been keeping a marine aquarium, I've unfortunately lost a couple of corals and a couple of fish but even the best people loose fish and corals.
The best place I've found for information and very friendly advice is Reef Sanctuary in particular the RSM Club www.reefsanctuary.com . Everybody has been very helpful with advice and very friendly. Thanks guys.

I like tangs so added a Regal Tang and a Yellow Tang as well as a Banggai Cardinal.

Patience not being my biggest asset I was raring to go, which is not how its supposed to be done.
So we got a pair of clowns a small colony of toad stalls, 3 hermit crabs and a red sponge.

You would be surprised how long you can sit and look at an aquarium with nothing but rock in it, but it wasn't any old rock it was live rock and it had critters in it and it really was fascinating looking for them and watching them.

| First day September 20th 2009 |
My first salt water aquarium, I hadn't done any research and it really was an impulse buy. I love diving and wanted a reef in my front room.
Not the best way to start a marine aquarium, but this is where it started for me.
